On Sunday, March 30, Nollywood actor, Saheed Balogun, unexpectedly left the Yoruba Movie Academy Awards when he wasn't chosen as the winner of the 'Best Director' award.
Actor and director Saheed Balogun was nominated for the movie ‘Alami Ayemi’, alongside Abiodun Olanrewaju, Niji Akanni and Kunle Afod. But the 'Best Director' award was given to Akanni who directed the movie ‘Aramotu’.
The actor/director has left the Civic Centre in Ibadan, the building where the Yoruba Movie Academy Awards took place, in a very angry mood. He refused to give any interviews and didn’t bother waving back to fans who chanted his name.
The press and many of his fans have been very disappointed.
It was gathered that until the announcement of the winner, Balogun had been chatty.
