Wizkid and Davido take out Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid and Yemi Alade From The Mobo Awards ”Best African Act” Category

Major music awards this year has had Davido andWizkid battle it out for the Best African male artiste award; Davido has won all. However it is most interesting that Wizkid had previously won most of these awards e.g., the BET awards. This applies in the case of the MOBO awards which Wizkid is already a recipient of.

Can Wizkid win it again or will Davido clinch it this time. Only your votes will determine that. The list of artists for ‘MOBO Best African Act’ was reduced from 10 to 5 nominees on Wednesday 8th October based on voting results. The original list had 10 nominees: Afrikan Boy, Davido, DJ Clock, Dr Sid, Fuse ODG, Mafikozolo, Mista Silva, Tiwa Savage, Wiz Kid, Yemi Alade.

The remaining artists left now vying for the Best African Act Category are:

MJista Silva

Davido

Wizkid Fuse

ODG Afrikan Boy(UK Based Nigerian)

The awards ceremony will be held in London at the SSE Arena, Wembley on 22 October. The past Nigerian winners of this award include 2face Idibia (2007), 9ice (2008) , Nneka (2009), Wizkid (2011), Dbanj (2012).
